Had my first experience with the NHS (National Health Service) this week. On Monday, I stopped by a doctor's office up the street to register. Took about 3 minutes to fill out the required forms. While there, I scheduled an appointment for two days later to have some long-overdue stitches removed.

Wednesday, I walked into the doctor's office at my scheduled appointment time of 8:30A. Told the receptionist my name. No signing in, no paperwork, nothing. Saw the nurse at 8:36. Stitches out by 8:37. Then I left - no records, payments, papers. Home by 8:42.

That's pretty amazing.
