Weekend Afternoons

To date, I've spent most of my weekend afternoons roaming around town - shopping, taking in some sites, lunching at little cafes and strolling through markets. Brits really love outdoor markets.  Enjoy the pics!

First weekend in town, I went to Sloane Square Market with a coworker who is in London for a month. Yes, there was more than just sugary items available, but the sweets were just so photogenic. Look at the size of the meringues in the bottom left! And bottom right was our caribbean salad lunch.

Today, I visited the embankment area which is right along the River Thames and is a tourist mecca. I enjoyed the crisp, sunny day by watching street performers and walking through the wine & cheese market where I bypassed the wine and cheese and opted for coffee instead. I know, I know....but I just had to try a coffee made by the barista awarded "UK's best coffee artist". He showed off by pouring a tulip into my froth.
